How does your salon team support each other? How is this different from your previous job?


Everyone here wants the other to succeed due to the fact that we really are a TEAM. It’s nice to see the girls encourage each other when it’s a job well done.

How has your job helped you grow as a person?

My job as retail manager has helped me become more patient and more understanding with clients and employees. In this industry you tend to become more outgoing and creative and that is always fun too!.

How would you describe working at Chatters to a prospective employee?

Fun, fun, fun! This is truly a place where you come to work and enjoy. It is always a happy and positive environment even though we know how to work hard.

What advice would you give to someone considering the beauty industry as a career?

It can definitely be a rewarding career. People want to look their best and if you are the one who can do that for them…they’ll love you and you will in turn love your job!

How has being a Chatters’ employee been a surprise to you, or exceeded your expectations?

I can never get bored with my job here. There are new products, new promotions, new contests and product knowledge classes. It is forever changing which keeps things fresh and exciting.

What is the best part of your job? Please describe.

Having clients who come in regularly and they appreciate when I recognize them by name.

Share one of your best customer experience moments. What happened?

A client wanted to tip me for spending time with her and showing her the best products for her. I explained that a tip was not necessary as I was simply doing my job. She comes in all the time now! We want all our customers to leave here with the best products “for them” and to enjoy their visit.

What is a challenge you face day to day and how do you overcome it?

Making all clients as happy as possible by giving them what they want to the best of my ability.

How does your salon team support each other? How is this different from your previous job?

Always helping each other with color formulas and questions, even sweeping hair for each other (this didn’t happen in other salons I have worked in!).

How would you describe working at Chatters to a prospective employee?

It’s a really fun environment to work in and all the employees really get along well. All the education classes provided is a plus!

What advice would you give to someone considering the beauty industry as a career?

It is an awesome outlet to be able to be creative. It is a very rewarding career.

How has being a Chatters’ employee been a surprise to you, or exceeded your expectations?

The best part of my job is getting to work with so many amazing people. I also enjoy being able to make people happy with awesome hair.

A customer called back the day after an appointment and I was thanked for doing a good job (she loved her hair) and she in now a regular client!

How does your salon team support each other? How is this different from your previous job?

If anyone needs help answering customer questions, or if the store gets busy, no one hesitates to jump in to lend a hand. It’s nice to be part of a team working toward the same goals and knowing that someone always has your back.

How has your job helped you grow as a person?

Before working at Chatters, I was really quiet and shy. I think working so closely with my co-workers and meeting new people everyday has helped me come out of my shell.

Chatters is a place where you get to work with great staff and meet new and interesting people everyday. We also get to see and use all the newest products. There’s never a dull moment at Chatters.

What advice would you give to someone considering the beauty industry as a career?

I would tell them not to be afraid to step outside the box. Be creative and make sure you love what you do!

How has being a Chatters’ employee been a surprise to you, or exceeded your expectations?

I was never really into hair or hair products before working at Chatters. Now I can’t get enough of it. I also never expected how busy and fast paced it is. Being an employee has really opened my eyes to the beauty industry and how much in demand it is.

What is the best part of your job? Please describe.

Coworkers are the best part of my job. Everyone is positive and we all get along and work doesn’t even feel like work.

Share one of your best customer experience moments. What happened?

I was helping a woman find a curl product. She was frustrated and couldn’t remember which product she wanted. After asking a lot of questions, we were able to find the product. She was very happy and said it was the best customer service she ever had.
